I am honored to serve as the Principal of Rocky River Elementary School. Education has been my passion for more than a decade, and I am committed to creating a positive learning environment where every child feels valued, supported, and empowered to succeed.

I began my career in education as a teacher at Irvin Elementary School, where I taught for four years. Since then, I have spent the past eight years serving in school leadership roles as an assistant principal at CC Griffin Middle School, J.N. Fries STEM Middle School, and Concord Middle School. These experiences have provided me with valuable opportunities to support students, staff, and families while helping schools grow and thrive.

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and later received my Master of School Administration from UNC Charlotte as a participant in the Principal Fellows Program.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our three daughters. Our family stays busy with competitive gymnastics, as all three of our daughters are active gymnasts. We are also passionate fans of the Carolina Panthers, Charlotte Hornets, Duke Blue Devils, and all things Disney.

I am excited to partner with our students, staff, families, and community as we continue to build upon the strong traditions of Rocky River Elementary. Together, we will ensure that every child has every opportunity, every day.

Hello, Roadrunner families!

I’m excited to begin my fourth year as an Assistant Principal at Rocky River Elementary! Over the past three years, I have had the privilege of getting to know our incredible students, dedicated staff, and supportive families, and I can honestly say that I love being part of this amazing school community.

My teaching career began in 2005 as a 2nd grade teacher in Tampa, Florida. In 2007, I moved to North Carolina and taught in Kannapolis City Schools before joining Cabarrus County Schools in 2013. During my time in Cabarrus County, I taught at Odell Primary School and later served as the MTSS Coach at Irvin Elementary before joining the Rocky River family.

I earned my bachelor’s degree from Youngstown State University and my master’s degree from Queens University of Charlotte. Although I grew up in Youngstown, Ohio, North Carolina has been home for nearly two decades. I live in Concord with my husband, our two children, and our two dogs, and I enjoy spending time with my family—especially cheering on soccer games and Ohio State football.

Rocky River is truly a special place, and I’m grateful to be part of a school where students are loved, challenged, and encouraged to reach their full potential every day. I look forward to another fantastic year partnering with our families and community. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if there is ever anything I can do to support you or your child!
